My first triathlon
So, my brother (who is 34) and I have decided to try our first Triathlon. It is an off-road sprint called the Primal Quest Sprint Series Race. Anybody heard of it? My brother and I discussed months ago about trying a triathlon, but, we wanted to do one together. So…here I am…30 years old and training. I have always ran casually just to maintain my weight and have mountain biked here and there. But, I started the final 10wk of training and I am ALWAYS hungry. Haha. Does anybody have any training tips for me? What exactly should I be eating? I am making sure I am drinking protein shakes after each workout and trying to eat carbs in moderation…but..I am ALWAYS hungry…no seriously…ALWAYS hungry. :o) I work in an office and do not want to give in to cookies that people bring in to the office or high fat snacks. (And I LOVE cookies…so…passing those up are hard on me) Any help would be appreciated!

Workin it
I’m a 30yr old woman training for my first Triathlon and am totally stoked. I came on to this site so I can maybe meet some other people who are training for triathlons or just enjoy working out in general. My goal is to finish my first off-road triathlon in Sept of 2008. Notice I said ‘finish’
I do not have to come in first…I just want to accomplish my first triathlon then hopefully others will follow. I have always been athletic, but, this is something that is challenging. Of course…it helps that all this training has turned my body into one lean machine…just in time for bikini season! ![]()
